Peter Richenburg lives on Cape Cod. His inspiration comes from this remarkable spit of land thrust into the Atlantic Ocean. His pastels of the New England Coast and related motifs capture the beauty and richness found in this matchless corner of the world. He especially enjoys rendering sailboats and all types of water craft. Occasionally, he will create a whimsical piece such as "Mr. Moonlight". Beaches, dunes, lighthouses and nautical themes are also included in his repertoire. Peter has selected original pieces available for purchase as well as limited edition signed prints in gliclee reproduction.

Peter is an accomplished artist and teacher. He received his formal training in Boston and New York and has instructed on the high school and college level in the United States and Australia. His work has been selected for many juried shows and is exhibited in galleries in the United States and Australia. He is a member of the Cape Cod Artists Association and the Cape Cod Pastel Society. Numerous private and corporate collections both in America and abroad include his work.

Artist's statement: The world surrounding us is full of visual pleasures. The more we look, the more we find. I feel that as an artist, it is my job to actively seek them out and share them.
