"White Wherry"

 The lifting fog on Paines Creek one summer morning revealed this tidy little fishing wherry. As a light breeze began to stir the water, a remarkable pattern of shape emerged around the boat. Lucky for me, I had my sketchbook! In this pastel I endeavored to capture the dignity, grace and elegance of this sturdy craft on that fantastic morning.
